I’ve seen tools claiming they can track exact location using just a phone number. Is any of that actually real or just scams?
I’d say proceed with caution. From what I’ve seen, most services promising pinpoint accuracy based solely on a phone number are often exaggerating.
Usually, these services rely on accessing publicly available data or using social engineering tactics. The accuracy can vary wildly – sometimes it might give you a general area, but rarely a precise address. I’ve also noticed some ask for a lot of permissions on your phone, which isn’t ideal.
I’ve tried Scannero before, and while it worked, the location wasn’t as precise as they made it sound.
